Irrespective of the 10th Amendment, there are certainly
limits to the power of the federal government.

The Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate in
certain defined categories, and if it doesn't fit one of
those categories it's improper. Sometimes someone may
inaccurately state in passing that the limitations are a
result of the 10th Amendment, but they're really not.

I recall some years ago hearing a discussion on rewriting
the Constitution of the United States. One of the speakers
said something to the effect that the only changed needed
on the 10th Amendment was an additional sentence reading
"And this time we mean it."

Well until that occurs, all continuations of ongoing
threads that continue 10th Amendment pontifications are
closed and are referred to the infamous "sovereign citizen"
