Depends on what he charges versus cost of QB payroll tax
module.

Perhaps he could do it for the first quarter and you could
simply fill out subsequent reports using the same
information, assuming your pay information doesn't change.
Of course be aware of state unemployment wage maximums for
their SUTA tax (what we call it.) If their base is 8,000$,
and you pay their tax on that much in the first quarter,
there won't be any more that year.

Good luck, Jim.

Default One person Payroll - QBooks or Accountant?

On Jan 1st I'll be changing my business from Sole Prop. to a
C Corp. I will be the only employee and plan to take a
quarterly salary.

I am happily using Quickbooks Pro 5.0 and have no desire to
upgrade.

Should I now buy a new Quickbooks and buy their Payroll Tax
service, or is it cheaper and simpler to let my Accoutant do
my payroll four times a year?

Thanks
