TIA for all replies! if you're so inclined, about IRA's and Simple plans, or even Keogh accounts. But hurry. Some of these HAVE to be in place by Dec 31st, even though the contribution to them may be delayed. There are many options -- from vastly liberalized IRAs (and> have close to $100,000 in 2003 income --- a > large amount for me. Naturally, I would like to > shelter some of that. At this point in the year, I would strongly advise you consult a professional [hopefully] to make sure you get a clear view of all choices - pro and con - and have whatever you decide upon set up properly. I could say send it to me, but I'm not a qualified charity,> $100,000 in 2003 income --- a large amount for me. > Naturally, I would like to shelter some of that. What > strategies do you recommend? TIA for all replies! so I'll do your return for $100K, payable in advance in 2003 so you can take the deduction.... Now that I got that out of the way.... Have you looked at retirement accounts, SIMPLES, solo 401Ks, etc. This will allow you to save income tax but not self employment taxes.
