I believe I just called the number I'll give below and they took care, immediately, that I was reinstated to the program. | I have been preparing returns for the past several years and have e-filed for most of those years.. Last year, however, for reasons beyond my control, I cut back drastically on my tax prep work and did not e-file any returns. Normally I receive a letter from the IRS indicating that I am "welcome" to e-file again during the coming season. This year, however, I did not receive such a letter. My question: do I need to reapply as an ERO after having e-filed no returns last year? Or is the lack of such a notice from the IRS not significant? I would appreciate group's assistance.
