See IRS publication 926 and the instruction for 1040
Schedule H. Only the dollar amount exemption for a
household worker ($1400 per year for 2003 and $1000
per quarter) will exempt her from social security
taxes.

Default Social security for "domestic" help

I posted this as a follow up to another thread, but think
that was not the appropriate place, so I repost:

Is there any exemption from paying social security taxes for a
caregiver in these cirmcumstances?

Thanks.
