By coincidence I happen to have a .45 caliber pistol for
sale, best price on the internet ....

Default Moderator: NEW Anti-Spam Procedure and ISP concerns

I have gotten seven reponses from people who are reluctant
to post to MTM because they get subjected to spamming. In
my rarely humble opinion, spamming should be punishible by a
..45 caliber lobotomy.

So within the next week, I will make a change to the
program that processes submissions to MTM. That change
will eliminate the Reply-To: header and will alter the
e-mail address in the From: header as follows:

John[at]aol.com .... will become .... John[at]nospam.biz

If you want your e-mail address in your post, put it in
your .sig file.

If anyone has any objections to this, speak now because
I will not listen later.

NEXT SUBJECT
I'm distressed by the number of people who are reporting
sporadic newsgroup delivery. You should find over 300
posts on your news server over the last 7-8 days. If you
don't, your ISP is doing something wrong.

By late January, I expect to be posting directly to
google.com. That may help.

Dick
