Can't say I've ever heard, since sliced bread has been
around a loooong time. Actually the way I heard it first,
from my father, was "best thing since canned dog food."

For use by denizens of this board, however, would be something
like.... "best thing since refundable tax credits".

What did people say about the newest thing-a-ma-jig before
there was sliced bread?

Default E Services

are now available at IRS. Check their web site, section for
tax professionals, drill down to the article on E services
and follow the bouncing ball.... no, make that the link.

Best thing since sliced bread. Sign up now and get ready
for tax season. Phase I now only has a few items on the
menu, none of which most of us haven't already used already,
but phases II and III due next year will afford THOSE WHO
will file 100 plus RETURNS NEXT TAX SEASON (you know who
you are and who you ain't) access to taxpayer accounts ON
LINE!
