For all business applications, I use only windows programs (on a PC). I don't have any conversion programs, so I'm not even tempted to moves files between the Mac and the PC. No virus or related problems on either platform (so far). For me it's not "Windows vs. Mac". I use each of them for what they are best at. That is, industry specific vertical applications for the desktop are almost all Windows specific. So while I can get very good general purpose software for Linux or the Mac (spreadsheets, word processors, etc.), when I start looking for things like professional tax preparation packages or time and billing systems, my options are either nonexistent or much more constrained in those other operating systems. -- Ed Zollars, CPA Phoenix, Arizona << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| I've generally noted that financial services seems to be a Windows world, but I'm wondering if there are any Mac users out there. Has anyone switched to Mac, especially with the various Windows security issues that have cropped up? I'm interested in hearing from both Mac and Windows enthusiasts.
