My guess is that corporation has made a $5000 contribution
less the FMV of the greens fees etc.

However if the corporation pays the greens fees of an
employee for some company pr purpose then that too should be
deductible, and now you are left with how to treat the cost
of a lunch, which is 1/2?

Default Is this a quid pro quo contribution?

Corporate sponsor gives $5,000 to a charitable organization
in connection with a fund raising golf tournament. Along
with the corporation's name appearing in prominent places,
the company is given two player entries. All players
receive: green fees and cart, golf apparel, a goody bag and
lunch (FMV of this is unknown at this time; but assume it's
in excess of $75.00).

Is the $5,000 paid by the corporate sponsor a quid pro quo
contribution? Or since the corporation did not directly
receive any goods or services, can the contribution be 100%
deductible? Or is the deductible contribution reduced by
the FMV of the green fees, etc. and the employee/players
subject to taxable compensation equal to the FMV of the
green fees, etc.?
