Your questions are legal ones pertaining to state law. An
LLC can be many things under tax law depending on what the
owner(s) decide to do.

Default What is Tax adv of Single Prop vs an LLC

The more I read about the LLC on the web and here the more
confused I get!

Does the LLC give me a "tax advantage" over a single-owner
por a partnership?

I will start as a single owner for a couple of months till
my partner can "join" me. It will be my name on everything.
We will have one part-time employee we will pay on a monthly
basis.

This is a "home" web business. Not providing health
insurance or any other bene's. We will be keeping our "day"
jobs.

I have read about "pass thru" income of 76k or something to
that nature the LLC offers

Can someone simplify it for me? Lets say my business will
gross 100k over the next year (gotta dream big!).

I am just looking for the possible savings in federal taxes
by being an LLC vs a partnership.

I know the LLC does the following over a limited
partnership:

Limited Liability Company (LLC) offers limited liability
protection for all members, whereas the general partner in a
limited partnership has unlimited liability

thanks
