It's five year for regular and AMT bonus depreciation or> property (9 for AMT if, for some unknown reason, bonus > depreciation is not taken), or have I made a mistake? not. The only difference between AMT and regular depreciation for personal property with no bonus is the difference in acceleration. -- David M. | Check on the bonus depreciation for anything to do with rentals. Allowed: most types of depreciable nonrealty property; qualified leasehold improvement property which is NONresidential real property. This goes waaaaaay back to the days of "20% additional first year..." which did NOT apply to rentals. (I got caught on it back in the mid-70s and have never forgotten.)
