If you can shoot for a 70% in all parts, I'm betting you> what raw score I need to achieve in order to pass. Would > anyone have any idea? The SEE is divided into 4 sections, over two days.> what raw score I need to achieve in order to pass. Would > anyone have any idea? All I know is that the IRS shoots to > have 50% pass each of the four sections which works out to > about a 30-35% pass rate... There are 80 questions in each section and each section must be passed separately. Sections 1, 2 and 3 each have a total possible score of 175, of which 105 or more is considered passing (60% ,2002 data). Section 4 (which is only two hours long) has a possible score of 120 (passing = 72). In sections 1, 2 and 3 the questions are divided in 20 T/F (1 point each), 25 multiple choice (2 points each) and 35 more difficult multiple choice (3 points each) involving calculations. Part 4 has 40 T/F questions (1 point each) and 40 multiple choice (2 points each). Minimum retention score for each section is 90$ of the passing score. Good luck. Stay calm and focused. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

That's 60% of each part. << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |
