Seems to me that you should be entitled to write off 50%
of your basis. 50% of *zero* is...half of *zero*. <g

Default Devaluation of Frequent Flyer Miles

If you'all have not noticed, there has been a serious
devaluation of frequent flyer miles - like a 50% increase
for miles required for international travel. Since I was
holding them for business travel (Mike), shouldn't I get
a loss somewhere for this?
