In Ohio, the Title certificate lists the GVW.

I'm crushed.

Come to St. Louis then in 2 weeks. Nancy and I have a ton
of stuff planned, we can fit you in. Terry was going to
come, but can't at the last minute. The Tax Gang - or
portions thereof - rides again!

Thanks to Phil and Dave and Helen. JUST as I suspected of
course, but wanted confirmation. She's not really
troublesome and even though she could assert some 100%
penalties on 941, etc, no way he's ever going to pay 90,000$
plus.

Now Helen. I don't know how to break this to you, but
..... afraid I have to cancel our date in Atlanta. Seems
that our state society is resuming fall seminars instead of
meeting with the Mississippi society down in Biloxi
(remember?) So I need to spend my money there.

speaking of which, it's a two day, 16 hour credits for only
125$; Oct 29, 30th in Birmingham.

Default Vehicle Weights

Does any one know what the best source for vehicle weights
are, I have a listed property issue where the weight could
have a large impact on tax due.

Well, either it went overage or she had her annual review.
I remember one case I was reviewing that hadn't been touched
in 8 months, last history entry "P/C to T/P. T/P in shower.
LMCB" I said, "He's probably out of the shower by now."

They can't require the taxpayer to appear without a summons,
if there's anyone left who knows how to do one, and the
taxpayer is free to direct them to the rep. You might ask
her why she feels a need to meet with the taxpayer and take
it from there. As long as you're responsive and provide the
necessary info, she has no reason to demand to see the
taxpayer.

Default Collection representation

Don't do much of this. Heck, do't even have audits to worry
about these days.

One client however asked me last Thursday if I had heard
from collection division on his case. We sent in paperwork
(433a and b, etc) LAST November. So I told him, no news
is good news maybe. After all, I had tried to contact the
collector back about February but she never called me back.

So this week she reaches me at home, complaining that I'm
never in my office! And she urgently wants updated p&L,
941's, 1040, etc, etc, AND she wants to meet with my client.

In routine auditand examinations we don't have to produce to
client for cross examination. Does this also apply in
collection proceedings?
