Try the free demonstrator at http://www.edcosoft.com/d1.html
You can put in 12 trades and see what it will do. You
don't need the wash sale finder but it actually prints the
D-1s for you. it's a Excel 97 file so no installation or
removal problem. If you like it there's a one time charge
to register and good for any year. Keep it on your own
computer, not the web.

Default stock capital gains software

Can anyone recommend some inexpensive software to track
stock & mutual fund shares capital gains/loss? I need
something for the individual investor that would facilitate
Schedule-D completion.

I need something with which I can:

1. record purchases of shares, divs, distributions, etc.

2. upon sale of a security, generate a report for the
security showing the long/short term allocation of shares
and gains/losses so this information can be entered onto
Sched-D.

3. volume of sales/year is less than 30.

4. it is *not* necessary for the software to handle wash sales.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Regards,
