You can put in 12 trades and see what it will do. You don't need the wash sale finder but it actually prints the D-1s for you. it's a Excel 97 file so no installation or removal problem. If you like it there's a one time charge to register and good for any year. Keep it on your own computer, not the web. ed << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

| Can anyone recommend some inexpensive software to track stock & mutual fund shares capital gains/loss? I need something for the individual investor that would facilitate Schedule-D completion. I need something with which I can: 1. record purchases of shares, divs, distributions, etc. 2. upon sale of a security, generate a report for the security showing the long/short term allocation of shares and gains/losses so this information can be entered onto Sched-D. 3. volume of sales/year is less than 30. 4. it is *not* necessary for the software to handle wash sales. Thanks for any suggestions.
