Yes

I'd put it in supplies.

As long as you are not in the business of selling software,
but merely provide it as part of your
consulting/installation business, I would claim your cost on
Line 48 (carried to Line 27) or as Supplies ib Line 22,

Default Consultant buys software for his client - Deductable? Where on Schedule C

First of all. Thank you to whoever answers my question. I
suspect it is a VERY easy one to answer (but not for me!)

I am a computer consultant. Sometimes I'll go to my
customers offices. Sometimes I install computers.
Sometimes I buy software for those computers. If the price
of such software is low, I don't bother to ask the customer
to pay for it.

In other words, I sometimes buy software for my customers
and don't get reimbursed.

1. Is this deductible?
2. Where on Schedule C do I list such expenditures.

Thank you.
