Interesting. I have a handful of clients who come to me> still don't want it, and even less want direct deposit ... because I e-file, but only one who specifically expressed that he does not want to e-file. The majority are either indifferent or mildly in favor of e-file for their convenience or speed in getting a refund. The majority of my clients have a definite preference on direct deposit, and it seems to run along age or economic class lines. Most use direct deposit; older clients or those who have to watch their budgets closely seem to want paper checks. (I don't do RALs or similar bank products.) I routinely e-file by default, including balance due returns. I have never had a client who wanted to pay by direct debit. -- Don EA in Upstate NY << -------------------------------------------------> << The Charter and the Guidelines for submitting > << messages to this newsgroup are at www.asktax.org > << -------------------------------------------------> |

We're going to mod the master form for WI and write in the> it" box for the client. required "non e-file" text. If we do e-file that will be ignored... Still doing only about 16% of our returns on EF. People still don't want it, and even less want direct deposit... Dave "Hid in the reeds are eyes that peek, voices I don't understand.
