True, we do sell a boxed product.

But that is also what I really purchased when I bought Money 2004 Deluxe. I
didn't buy passport, but I did agree to use it when I decided to use MS
Money. Either way, we all feel pain because of this.

Does your company provide a web-exposed service or sell software? All of the
testing you speak of applies great to a static shrink-wrapped software
product. It applies a lot less well to a dynamic web-exposed service in a
dynamic environment.

Possibly, but have you been without access to your MS Money file since
Monday? I have and my backups which I run daily to another server won't open
either.

MS is not really spending enough on this product or issues like this would
have been caught in testing. I work for a software development company and
something like this should not happen! If it happened to us we would be
screwed!

I agree. If we give Microsoft too much negative exposure on this, in time we
will all have to look for another program as I believe that Money is not
such a cashcow for them and they'll discontinue the distribution and
support.

Windows is still the best thing going by a mile (as long as you are using
2000 or higher).

I forwarded the info on to Robert X. Cringely at
InfoWorld. It's too bad they still don't have their
Gripe Line column.

Please post a link to any articles you see written about this issue to the
group. I'll do the same if Seattle Times or CNET runs anything...

Thanks,

I contacted the Seattle Times and CNET yesterday since I was frustrated with
the response from MS technical support.

Default Wall street journal contact

Awesome job! Microsoft needs to feel the pain. I'm just
glad I don't run a business with the software. I can't
believe it's been a few days and the problem still isn't
fixed. Don't you morons at Microsoft realize how
detrimental this is to so many people? I look forward to
hearing about this problem throughout the news agencies.
It's a big enough deal to be on all of them. Maybe I need
to learn how to use Linux. Oh yeah, but Microsoft just
about has a monopoly on everything and your limited in
software if you use Linux. This is on top of the numerous
times I've had to reinstall Windows over the years
because it's such a sucky program. Someone please take
down the monopoly so I can get a quality product.

Default Wall street journal contact

I actually contacted ABC NEWS yesterday also and asked
them to look into this..

I think a lot of people should write to TV stations. Maybe
if this gets on the news, it will get resolved faster
since they will start losing money.

I have been in touch with the wall street journal online
and they are putting a story together on this. If you use
money to keep track of business records and have been
severely affected by this the person I have been in
contact with would like to hear from you. please mail me
with you for more information. kenneth AT vanpeters.com
