| Glyn, I've recreated the transfers from scratch, deleted the old transfers, then used the 'transfer into the register' button to post the recreated transfer. It gets posted, but not as a transfer and appears instead as a payment in one account and deposit in the other. However, I tried the following and it seems to have had a (temporary?) beneficial effect. In the 'edit transfers' window, I had originally entered a descriptor, say 'monthly savings' in the 'pay to' field. I've deleted that descriptor leaving just the paying and receiving account details in the 'transfer from' and 'transfer to' fields. Entering the transfer into the register in that form correctly creates a transfer transaction between both accounts, albeit with a 'transfer to' / 'transfer from' descriptor in the Payee column of the relevant accounts. If that works, I can live with it but am still puzzled why its gone wrong recently. I've used various versions of Money since 1994 without untoward effects. Thanks for your reply and interest. | I've been running Money 2002 on a Windows 2000 Pro O/S for 12 months without problems and have several inter-account transfers set up as recurring Bills & Deposits. Until this month they've worked fine. But they're now shown as a 'payment' in one account and 'deposit' in the receiving account instead of a transfer between the two. Has anyone seen this problem and got any idea how to cure it? I've: - quote - > downloaded most of the 'critical' updates for Windows 2000 Pro - could
Last solution is to download the latest Jet updates for Windows 2000 asone of these be the cause? > deleted the transfer and reinstated it in Bills & Deposits but with no success. > reinstalled Money, again without curing the fault. Money seems to use tmp Jet files while open. If anyone has a better answer, I'd love to hear it! Zak |
