Default Re: Money 2000 asks for a disk to be in D:

If you have been using your CD for games or other programs
make sure you go to My computer icon on desktop list of
drives comes up on cd drive letter right click mouse and
see the eject line, always eject your cd's this way I have
found if you just push the button on drive it self the
memory keeps the last disc contents so it will look there
when you try to open another program. If you do not eject
from menu the memory holds last disc until restart. Been
there done that got the tee shirt!

In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Money\8.0,
you probably have something such as "AVHelpPath"="E:\MONEY\avhelp"
or whatever. So the AVHelpPath probably refers to your CD drive.
If you are adept at editing the registry, you can change the
reference to refer to your hard drive rather than your CD drive.
If you are not adept at that, find a friend who is. The path need
not actually exist on the hard drive.

Default Money 2000 asks for a disk to be in D:

If I have been playing/using the D drive for a CD, then
start Money 2000, it asks for a disk with MSMONEY.EXE to
go in D. New Dell machine, never had this problem before.
