You could, but I would suggest getting the CD. A really neat way to
find prior postings in this group is to use the Google Usenet Groups
archive. You will find people wishing they had the CD.

http://groups.google.com/advanced_group_search enter words that you
think would be in relevant posts into the "all of the words" box.
Enter microsoft.public.money into the newsgroup box. Consider
selecting Sort By Date.

It is possible to install Money to a different folder/directory and
have both work.

There are help videos, and sounds that you don't get at that point.

I don't know.

You can upgrade the trial to a "full" license online. There are MANY reasons
not to do this and virtually all regular newsgroup readers would recommend
against doing so. Upgrading the trial to a regular retail version that has
the CD is a much better course.

Since the current M04 trial is a 60 day trial and M05 will ***probably*** be
out within about 60 days if the past is any indicator, this might be a
better way to go. You can upgrade your data file to the M04 trial
version--its install will pretty much make this magic--and then install the
retail M05 CD version on top of the M04 trial version and upgrade your file
again.

Please read and heed the advice about how Money upgrades your file and
retains the previous version data file renamed. Money files are NOT backward
compatible.

Makes sense. Will I eventually have to purchase the CD
anyway? When the 60 days is up can I purchase Money 2004
to activate the upgrade. Additionaly, is there anything I
won't get if I use this method? Such as, the Pocket PC
Money 2004 comes on the CD, do I get this with the
download? I believe in my travels online I have seen a
download for the Pocket PC version for free?? Sorry for
all the questions, but I want to make the choice that is
easiest.

Thanks again,

Yes. Step one is to buy Money Deluxe 2004 with the CD.

I would say pretty hard. When I try to use the upgrade
function in Money 2002 Standard, it only allows me to
upgrade to Money 2002 Deluxe. When trying to find an
electronic upgrade online, I have been unsuccessful.
Additionally, the link below doesn't answer my question
about upgrading the application, it answers the question
about what to do with the .mny file.

Any additional advise would be great!

Default Upgrading from 2002 to 2004

Simple question that shouldn't be this hard to get
answered. Anyway, can I upgrade directly from Money
Standard 2002 to Money Deluxe 2004? Any help is
appriciated.

Thanks,
