It sounds like the scheduled payment is setup to expense the escrow directly
not transfer it to some (non-existent) escrow account. The latter is the
preferred setup. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=94. Transfers can
absolutely be added to scheduled loan payment details (i.e., splits). You
MAY have to type it out (T-R-A-N-S-F-E-R-:-E-S-C-R-O-W- -A-C-C-T- -N-A-M-E)
if it isn't offered in the pull-downs.

In answer to all three posts to my question. When I set
up the mortgage I did set up other fees - escrow. The
loan payments do show the correct amount going to escrow,
but there is no account associated with these escrow
payments. Also, the mortgage payment setup will not
allow for transfers into other accounts, only other fees
as discussed above. So I still have the same problem,
the escrow fee is setup and coming out of each payment
properly, but is not going into any account. Any other
ideas?

Did you setup an escrow account in Money? If you did then your escrow
payment in your mortgage transaction should be just a transfer into the
escrow account. You can view that account and manage it like any other
account in Money. It should be an asset account.

To change the amount, from the mortgage account register,
ChangeAccountDetails-> ChangeLoanTerms-> Next and select OtherFees.
Proceed.

Have you tried going to the account list and selecting the escrow account?

See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=94 for more on setting up and
maintaining an escrow account.

Default Tracking Escrow for home mortgage

I'm using Money 2002 and entering my escrow fee for my
loan, but the information just seems to be going into the
data "great beyond". Is there any way to view/adjust the
escrow account balance associated with a home mortgage
account?
