| While it is obviously a bug, there is workaround. During import specify that you want it as 'new or recovered account'. In this case categories info is imported correctly. | When QIF file is imported Category information is not recognized by Money. Moreover, QIF exported from Money and improted back will also have this problem. Repro steps: 1. Create an account 2. Add transaction: payee: MS, Category: Gifts 3. Export account info to QIF file. 4. Delete transaction 5. Import the file back into the account 6. Bug: Category information is not restored.
