Default Re: Money imports ATM withdrawals as a payment-ALWAYS

Scott, I think you nailed it there. There were numerous payees that had
become mysteriously associated.

I noticed numerous others that were giving me trouble, too. I even went
thru every payee and deleted all associations. Don't know if its bad or
good, but I went that far.

This is a peer-to-peer group. It's fairly rare for anyone from Microsoft
Support or from the Money team to post here.

Many banks send generic information such as "ATM Withdrawal" for ATMs, "POS
Debit" for debit cards, etc. You could check under the "Preferred Payee
Matches" section of "Payee Rules Manager" to see if "Columbus City
Treasurer" is associated with such a generic payee, and remove the
association.

You could then add that payee to the "Excluded Names" list on the same
screen, which should stop it from being wrongly associated with a specific
payee in the future.

A $52 ATM withdrawal sounds like a foreign ATM withdrawal with an attached
fee. As such, it may have a different payee name than an ATM withdrawal
from your own bank, which may be why those ATM withdrawals are classified
properly.

Default Money imports ATM withdrawals as a payment-ALWAYS

Numerous ATM withdrawals, the ones in quantities of $50, $100, $200, money
always imports them and auto identifies them as "Columbus City Treasurer -
Water" and catagorizes them as "Utilities:Water"

The ones that add $1.50 or $2.00 to totals of like $52.00 and the such get
imported as ATM Withdrawals, which they are.

This is the bigest annoyance. Money 2003 on XP, online banking with
Huntington National Bank.

The ATM withdrawals are the only ones that I've noticed that seem to be
reliably messed up.

TIA.
