You can use a non-web newsreader program. Most people who try it> is no. I really don't know what the problem is. One day > it was working and the next it quit. Many use Outlook Express; it is perhaps on your computer already. [Free] Agent is good. Many speak well of Gravity. http://www.hogwarts-library.net/common/newsreader.html |

| Thanks for the reply, Don. Answer to your first question is no. I really don't know what the problem is. One day it was working and the next it quit. I rechecked and Microsoft is a trusted site and cookies are accepted. I doubled my memory to 512K but no help. I uninstalled the firewall and that oddly made it work for a while but then quit again. I appreciate your help. | When you click on the +, is that message at the bottom of the window so that you can't see the reply when it opens? What's the original problem. I'll try to direct you to the correct newsgroup. Don -- MVP IE/OE Please reply to the newsgroup so that others may participate. | When using MS Newsgroups, I am able to navigate to any category with no problem. Once in however, when I see a message of interest, I can read the question but when I click the + sign for the response, the + changes to - but the response does not appear. When I click on "Contact us", I select one of the threer choices then click continue. Nothing happens. I've tried every way to contact Microsoft on my machine , all unsuccessful. I'm sending this plea on my daughters machine. I've tried twice to get some help from Dell to no avail. I apologize for posting this in this forum but perhaps your wizards can forward it to someone who can help. Thank you. Chuck. |
