It's a Scottrade problem. The file reflects:

<UNITS> 161<UNITPRICE> 25.44<MKTVAL> 4116.73

Althought the Market Value and unit price are consistent with their website
and my records, the units reported to Money are not. If you do the math on
the above, you should see that I have 161.821 shares of this particular
stock.

Fortunately, I just moved one investment position to Scottrade as a test.
If all of my reocrds were off in this fashion, it would be problematic to
resolve records.

Even though this problem was reported to Scottrade on June 2, so far the
problem persists.

If are feeling adventurous, and you would like to see the OFX file,
start download as normal. But when you see the Connect button,
hold down the Ctrl+Shift keys as you click Connect. Money
will save a copy of the OFX file as *RS.txt in the same directory as
your Money file.

You can view the file with a text editor such as Notepad.
Depending on the provider of the OFX file, there may be a normal
newline character between items, or not. And if not, it is tricky
to view.

If the file starts with "?xml version" you could copy the file to
"test.xml" and open that with IE6. That would format things.

In any case after a <POSMF> , look for the next occurrence of
"<UNITS> " and see what numbers follow. If a typical entry was
"<UNITS> 123.456" for, example, that would say that Scott trade was
sending fractional unit data with the download. Look to Money for
the problem. If the numbers are not fractional, look to Scot trade.

Default Scottrade download problem

I have a ROTH IRA I've moved to Scottrade as an evaluation of their services
before I move more investing action to them. A big part of my evaluation is
how Money-integrated Scottrade is.

I'm having a problem and thus far Scottrade has been of zero help. I wanted
to see if anyone else had any suggestions.

Whenever I download my investment positions on the ROTH, fractional share
amounts are dropped. For example, if I own 151.47 shares of VIGRX, when
Money connects to Scottrade it reports that I have 151 shares (dropping the
..47). Scottrade's web site has the correct figures, but I'm not getting
them in Money.

Given Scottrade's popularity, I figure some people here must be using them.
Is this a problem you have as well?

I contacted Customer Service. I was told they'd pass it on to their "Money
Programmer." That was several weeks ago. Still no solution.
