You've tried a validate and super-validate on the file i guess? The trial
version is the UK trial?

Which Quicken version are you changing from? 2002? If so, Money 2002 doesn't
read quicken 2002 files. You'll have to have a later version of Money.

I've got Money 2002 Deluxe (UK version) and I'm getting the simple error
message "Your Quicken File clould not be converted". I've validated my
Quicken file but that seems to make no difference. Quicken are stopping
support for 2002 so now seems the right time to change if I'm going to. But
is it too much hassle? Any help/suggestions much appreciated.

Correct. Quicken 2003 and before, but not 2004.

If you like you can give it a try. Create a QIF file in Quicken for
*each* account that you want to copy over.

The QIF files containing the investment cash accounts
should be named something alphanumerically higher than the
investment transactions of the account. So you could have
"Merrill.qif" and "Merrill Cash.qif", but you would not want
"Merrill Inv.qif" and "Merrill Cash.qif". "_Merrill Inv" and
"Merrill Cash.qif" would be good. So one way around this is to
export investment accounts to files who's name starts with an
underscore.

To avoid transfers from turning into two separate transactions, it
is important to import the QIFs into the new file all at once.
This is done by selecting using Ctrl+<click> to highlight all of
the files you want included.

You got it. M04 won't convert Q04. Money and Quicken release their annual
"upgrades" at approximately the same time. (M04 actually beat Q04 by about a
month.) Microsoft can't read Intuit's mind to infer what their new file
format will be in advance.

Money 2004 won't convert Quicken 2004??? I tried to
convert. The summary showed in appeared to pull over all
the accounts but with 0 balances. It said the Quicken
accounts had invalid entries even after validating. What
exactly is the .qif export/input. I purchased this progam
for $31 with a $20 rebate on top of that. The freebies
are worth $11 but I'd like to transfer over the data if
possible. Thanks !

Probably six weeks to three months, based entirely on past experience.

Money 2004 will not convert Quicken 2004. Wait for Money 2005,
unless you want to do QIF export/import.

Default Can't convert Quicken qdata file.

I am try to switch from Quicken to Money 2004. When it
trys converting the Quicken I get the following message:

Your Quicken file could not be converted.
You are attempting to convert a corrupted Quicken file.
Try reindexing your Quicken file by clicking File
Operations from the File menu, and then clicking
Validate. Then try converting it again.

Have tried validating the quicken file but no change. I
don't want to lose all the data I have in Quicken. Any
suggestions???

Thanks
Sam
