If you've tried both of the repair options, you may need to export/import
that account. What I did when I encountered this exact issue was to export
the account to a qif, create a new account and import the qif back in to the
new account. Then when I was able to get everything straight, I deleted the
old account. Just be careful if you have transfers that are linked to other
accounts. You may want to create a 'bogus' account and whenever it asks
which account to assign the other side of the transfer to, assign it to the
bogus account and delete that account later. You're transacitons won't be
linked, but it's nicer to not have them linked when you have to go through
the export/import procedure anyway.
