My method - I set up a deposit in bills & deposits. For
example:

Deposit to - Janus Funds (Cash)
Payment method - other
Category - Investment Dividends
Category Sub - Dividends
Memo - Balanced Fund Dividends
Frequency - Every 3 months

This puts things in budget correctly. Once the dividends
come and are recorded correctly, I "skip this occurence"
of the deposit.

Money is clearly tailored to people in their acquisitive years. It's
unfortunate how many things it can't do like this.

Well there should be a way to budget them. Dividends are the main source of
our income. I'll continue my roundabout way of tracking them. Thanks for
your response.

No. But I'm not sure there is a good answer--besides trying to just budget
some income for the Other Income:Investment Income category. You can't
budget/schedule for investment transactions like Dividend Received.
