| Packet writing software is software that tries to make a writable optical disk "look like" something it isn't: a general purpose random access file system like a floppy or hard disk. I cited examples. YMMV==Your Mileage My Vary. Little plug-in gadgets that act like a big removable drive. Prices and performance vary. They fit in your pocket. No. Here are a couple searches that show some of them. http://www.newegg.com/app/searchProd...1&InnerCata=68 http://www.compuplus.com/search.php?...&t=flash+drive |

| Check the settings in Tools|Options|Backup. If you are backing up to CD using some kind of packet writing software (Direct CD, Drag-to-Disc, InCD) be advised that many of us have found the technology available today too unreliable to consider using it for our Money backups. As always, YMMV. "Jack Tanner" <fatjac[at]sbcglobal.net> wrote in message news:eYTjfuvUEHA.1604[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > I'm running MSMoney 2001. I suggest you make your "floppy" backup to a USB flash drive.> I tried and finally got it to back-up to a CD but I keep getting bugged to > run BU to a floppy. > How can I get the program to recognize I am backing up to a CD? Disabling "floppy" backup with Tools-> Options-> Backup would not be as good. |

| I'm running MSMoney 2001. It has started needing two disks to BU. I tried and finally got it to back-up to a CD but I keep getting bugged to run BU to a floppy. How can I get the program to recognize I am backing up to a CD? Regards, fatjac |
