| So this is my workaround of choice.... - Close the old (damaged) account - Create a new account where I will register future transactions. - Since Money does not allow to move multiple entries to a new account in a single step (just cut and paste one transaction each time), I do not plan to move old transactions to the new account. There you have something for the MS 200X Wish List.... .....Import or move multiple transactions from an account to another in a single step. | Garry Thanks. Yes that process works. Before I saw your post, I was looking for a workaround this problem, renamed the damaged account as AccountNameTemp and AccountNumberTemp, and then created a dummy account with the same AccountName and AccountNumber, then downloaded the transactions from the bank into it, and they were visible. The problem was that I would have to cut and paste all the old transactions from the damaged account to the new one, if I want to use the new one.... Doable, but quite a chore due to the number of transcations involved. Today I saw your post, and it sounded promising....So, I exported the file, and during the importation process Money started asking me to match certain transactions (transfers between accounts) with the respective accounts some of which are closed now, and do not appear in the list of accounts displayed in the "assign to" window. So, I figure that in order to finish such process, I'd have to open all the closed accounts, perform the importation, assign each transaction to the respective account, and then close the old accounts after that... Once again... It's doable, but in my case is quite a chore due to the number of transactions and accounts involved. I am still hoping to learn about another fix which would repair the damaged Account in its place, without having to go through hoops. If nothing else comes up, I'll probably follow your process (export-import). Thanks anyway Frank "Garry Elder" <garry_elder[at]comcast.net> wrote in message news 7Mzc.40167$eu.16142[at]attbi_s02...- quote - > The "Delte Browser Tem,porary Files" seems to be the stock reply but has not > worked. > I got with MS and they suggested exporting the account, deleting the > account, and importing it again. | The "Delte Browser Tem,porary Files" seems to be the stock reply but has not worked. I got with MS and they suggested exporting the account, deleting the account, and importing it again. This worked a treat. | I have just begun using MS Money and have setup several accounts to download details. The connection is OK, the balance is OK and MS Money indicates I have items to review. However, when I go to the account and select 'Unaccepted Transactions' or even 'All Transactions" then there is nothing there. Some of the transactions are against items in the account so should have been identified as matches. I checked these against the banks web service as verification. Can anyone help me 'find'these transactions? Thanks Garry |
