I use the Memo field for this.

You can use Classifications for that. You can generate reports that
include Classification as a criterion.

Default Tracking project expenses

I am a user of the MS Money Small business edition. I own
a construction company. I would like to charge and track
expenses against projects I create in money. Does anyone
know how to do that?

Example, If I go to Home Depot or Lowes and purchase
$1000.00 worth of lunber, I would like to have that
expense charged against a project so that I know the exact
project costs and profit margin for the project. I can
not find anyway to do this with MS Money.
