Art,
Thanks for your response.
I have tried many different fonts styles and sizes without
success, but I did discover something.
When I do a test print everything lines up perfectly, when
I print a real check, the numeric dollar field fills with
leading "*" so that the data is too far to the right, (I
was trying to compensate by shifting the paper and then
the date wound up in the wrong place).
The print test does not include these 16-20 leading "*".
If I can eliminate them from the actual check printing all
would be good.
Any Ideas??

You are correct in that you can change the entire set up which includes
all of the data in 1/8 inch increments in all four directions. I am not
aware of any way to change only the date field. If I were you, I would
check the font that is being used to verify that it is the same. I went
from Windows 98 to XP Home without any problem on my Epson and later
switched to an HP ink jet with no issues like you are expeeriencing. I
did notice that the default system font was different between the two
machines but I had changed that prior to printing my first check.

Hmmm. I'm not aware the layout has EVER changed. Maybe you have a printer
driver issue? Have you messed with the alignment settings?

Default Old stock Check Printing

I just upgraded to a new computer with XP, the old one was
windows98. I reinstalled money and restored my backup
file and everything works but check printing on my
existing stock of pinfeed checks. How can I move the date
field about 1/4 inch to the left? All the other fields
are OK. Everything used to line up perfect.
