You might also consider adding passport.com to your trusted sites in
IE6.

Default Sign in Problem Solved!

I have been unable to sign in for some time. Here's what would happen: Start
Money, click Sign In button to sign into Passport. Money tells me its
"Signing In" and the little buttons are moving across the screen, everything
is greyed except the cancel button, but *nothing* else would ever happen. No
errors, nothing. I'd have to cancel, then sign in manually.

Money 2004 Deluxe. WinXP Pro connected to a SBS 2003 network. I am also the
network admin. Everything is fully patched.

I've been researching this problem for months and finally discovered the
cause and resolution. No one has posted this here (to my knowledge) so
hopefully I can help someone by posting.

The problem is the "override automatic cookie handling" option in IE. If you
do not have passport.com set for "always allow," then you can't sign-in.
Money apparently isn't perfectly integrated into IE's cookie handling so it
doesn't ask you what you want to do about the passport.com cookie. If you
choose the default for cookie handling, it works but as soon as you
"override" again, problem recurs.

Again, the problem is solved by adding passport.com to your "always allow"
list. I would also make sure msn.com is in the "always allow" list. This was
already in my allow list so I didn't troubleshoot that cookie.

Hope this helps someone.

John
