| I'm having problems with the Budget changing without my permission also, but have you tried to click on Autobudgets and uncheck all the boxes? The deficit reduction utility may be involved also. To me, granted a novice to Money, it seems they are trying to automate several things and it makes the data you get back unreliable. I think they are changing the GIGO rule.;-)) Clark "Jodi" <JMPendris[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:12e2901c4435b$bd86a7a0$a601280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > Here is my delema. | I just "upgraded" from Money 97 to Money 2004, and have run into the same problem. Budgeting was so simple in the old version and was very easy to adjust - not so in this beast which is slow as well with its use of browser features and a complex data base structure. I'd be tempted to go back if I didn't have to re-enter so much data. The Canadian version also has no depreciation feature for assets such as cars. | I am hoping that by Money 2005 they will have fixed that problem so that the budget might be useful. I have the same problem and have noticed many others with it also. I did go to the trouble and fix it once (many budget categories being off by multiples) only to have the problem resurface after editing a recurring bill or deposit. I gave up and basically do not use/trust the budget feature, or lack of feature. "Jodi" <JMPendris[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:12e2901c4435b$bd86a7a0$a601280a[at]phx.gbl... Here is my delema. In Microsoft Money 2004 I have set up my budget and all was great until I was reviwing my current budget status. Under some of my expenses it shows the budgeted amount as double what (and sometimes triple) what it should be. If I choose one of these items and click edit it shows the box with the choice of editing "a Bill in this category" or "An additional expnese in this category" Under "a Bill in this category" it has a pull down menu and it shows the same item more than once. Only one of the identical choices can be used and it shows the correct information. When I go back to see if my budget is correct it shows only the correct amount. Please someone I would love to fix this problem if possible. The problem here is in the reveiwing current budget status it makes it look like I am under budget and that my budget is much higher than it is. Thanks in advance. Jodi |

Jodi |
