I live in California. I've had accounts with them since about 1988 and they
have never changed names at my branch that I can remember. I keep at least
$10,000 with them in combined accounts and everything is free including
personal checks and safe deposit box. You might check with the branch
manager. Possibly you have some old type account left over from some
acquired bank that could be changed to a current offering. I have found the
people at USBank are very helpful and flexible.

No, I have had an account at U.S. Bank since 1996. The
bank has changed names a few times. Last time it was
Firstar, which U.S. Bank acquired.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that U.S. Bank might have
different rules for customers depending on which state
you live in. I'm in Illinois, Chicago. Where do you
live?

Still, you're starting to convince me that the best way
to go might be to just sign up for the Money download
with USB and wait for the charges to show up. When they
send the registration materials, it should be clear
whether I'll have to pay anything.

Let me know what state you live in.

Thanks!

Any bank should be able to give you a written list of ALL their
charges that apply to you. NB does. It fits on both sides of one
small 4x8 inch piece of paper. Photo copies of my checks, both sides,
are online as well as my monthly statements as pdf files. I know were
the free ATM machines are in my neighborhood too. Most of my bank
people support needs are handled by their online email system.

Did you just open an account with them?

Is it common for most banks to charge such a fee for the
automatic Money connections?? Does anyone know where I
could get a list of banks in the U.S. that offer this
free? I'm getting tired of having to import the info
every time. It's a hassle. It might be time to switch
banks!

Thanks for your help.

I've been using NetBank for over 4 years. You can look over their
site. I prefer out of State banking which helps remove assets from
possible hungry legal eagles. My family has an etradebank MM account
but I didn't support automatic downloads last I looked, whereas NB
does. We pay most bills online (no cost) and use direct deposit for
income sources. They will send you postage PP envelopes for mailing
deposits. Their interest rates on checking, MM, and CDs is higher
than most banks too.

Default Charge for online services

My bank (U.S. Bank) is charging a fee for the convenience
of having my information downloaded automatically into
Money. It is free if I want to go through the trouble of
importing the information from their own website.

Is it common for most banks to charge such a fee for the
automatic Money connections?? Does anyone know where I
could get a list of banks in the U.S. that offer this
free? I'm getting tired of having to import the info
every time. It's a hassle. It might be time to switch
banks!

Thanks for your help.
