| What's the size of your file in megs? ( 1000k is 1 meg ) I'm wondering if some of these corruption problems are related to very large files. Another possibility is some mny file internal data type prone to causing these problems. Another possible would be an undetected hardware problem. arthur -- On Sat, 22 May 2004 09:17:35 -0700, "Nick Triantos" wrote: - quote - > I just got off a long phone call with MS tech support. | I would go back to a backup or try the export/import as suggested. You could also try closing all of the accounts and seeing whether the account list works, then reopening them in turn to see whether the program crashes on a particular account. A reinstall wouldn't be amiss, to check that it's a file corruption issue (try the sample file and, if possible, the Money file on another machine). One other way to take out some corruption issues is to archive the file, but choose a date before the first transaction in the file. It might not help either, but can be worth a try. That's all I can think of at present. Obviously exporting and going to quicken is another option, which I can't help on. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | I just got off a long phone call with MS tech support. I have a corrupt MS Money 2004 file which, when I repair it, says it fixed online records. If I repair the repaired file, it says no corruption detected. However, when I open the file, it opens fine, but if I click the Account List button, Money exits immediately, and does not show a crash dialog. If I open the file again, I can jump to any account from Portfolio, but I can't show the account list. Microsoft support has told me that there's nothing further they can do, I should try to export the records and re-import them. My sense right now is that it would be better to just import them into Quicken, and throw away Money. Does anyone have any other advice of things I might want to try? At least the guy who I spoke to in support was very nice, and tried to do his job as best he could. thanks a bunch, -Nick |
