| The Money home page on microsoft's website lists all financial instutions that work with Money: http://www.microsoft.com/money/onlin...t.asp?FIList=5 In particular, you want "Direct Services (2-Way)". You also want FIs that include 'bill pay integrated with money' (i.e., not from the FIs website). Unfortunately, that list doesn't show such details. Narrow the list to Direct Services banks and look at bank's website to determine, (although many banks website's, even the big boys, are less than clear about how they integrate bill pay with Money, ... sometimes you have to do a simple email/call to their support and ask "Can I do bill pay directly from within Microsoft Money without having to go to your website?"). Ask yourself if you want a national, regional, or local neighborhood bank. All have their tradeoffs (ATM fees, neighborhood branches, high interest paid, blah blah blah). If bill pay integrated with Money is a must-have, then start from there. I have a few bookmarked lists of banks that have offer free bill pay. Reply back if you want those posted. But none of those lists have thorough indications of 'bill pay integrated with money'. In my opinion, all banks (across the board) do not communicate well their 'bill pay integratred with money/quicken' features. It's a great feature, I love it. | My current bank, BankDirect, is upgrading to exciting new online services, which includes dumping the ability to pay bills directly from MS Money. From now on bill paying has to be from their website, with OFX download to Money. This looks like extra keystrokes, no matter how I go at it. They used to have Direct Connect for Money, provided for no monthly fee, just a one-time setup charge, interest checking, and reasonable minimum balance. If you have a bank that comes close to this level of service, please let me know! |
