Default Re: Categorizing downloaded transactions

Try the following:

Go to your list of PAYEEs,
Select the payee you are interested in;
"Go to Payee" to view the details;

All transactions for the selected Payee will be displayed in a window (Lower
Right)

Use either "Shift" & Click to select all transactions, or CTRL & click to
select multiple individual transactions;

Use your mouse "menu" button and select "Change Category".
Pick the appropriate category and all the transactions will be changed.

Regards,
Douglas.

I'm hardly the resident expert--especially on downloaded transaction data
which I don't. There are many people who frequent the newsgroup who can
better answer these kinds of questions than I.

There have been many threads on this--do an advanced search of newsgroup
microsoft.public.money at http://groups.google.com.

Hey Dick,

You seem to be the resident expert. I'm having one problem with Money
Hi. I'm using Money 2004 and just wondering if I can somehow
categorize all transactions from the same payee at once. For example,
I shop at the same grocery store but its not automatically categorized
as groceries so I have manually categorize it. The problem is that
once I categorize it once, it doesn't automatically categorize future
transactions as groceries even though its the same vendor name.

Thanks alot,

Josh
