It's a good thing IF you want to do the things that require it like
Background Banking or MSN Bill Pay. It's a good thing if you really want to
control access to your file at the file password/authentication level *and*
are prone to forgetting passwords. Beyond that, it's probably a neutral or
bad thing. When the Money Passport server is having problems it makes access
to your file somewhat tedious.

You can set it up or remove it at will.
