1) Don't "import" them. "Open" them or "restore" them, depending on whether
they are .MNY or .MBF files.

2) How long are you waiting? The upgrade can take a LONG time. That time
will be spent with the CPU mostly pegged, the application reported as "not
responding," and the hourglass shown. This fact will be more pronounced for
a file with a lot of data. Since you've been using Money for a LONG TIME, I
suspect you have a wile with a lot of data.

3) Have you checked that the M04 installation works with the Sample data
file?
