| Let me ask you a couple more questions, on a purely speculative basis. 1) Are you looking at just one account? Are you looking at the total of accounts value? 2) Are all accounts in the cash flow ones that have existed in your Money file for the whole period of the cash flow view? You might want to narrow the view down to the narrowest possible subset (one account, short time period) and expand it (more accounts and/or wider time periods) until you see this phenomena. Then maybe you can narrow down what's going on to the difference between these two views. | The good news is that now I understand what you are seeing better. The bad news is that I still can't duplicate your situation here and don't have much clue. You might consider the file repair tools and the msxml voodoo--though other unknown voodoo may be required. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=104 and http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=130. | Thanks for the advice so far, but it seems my English need some improvement (no irony there, I'm from Athens, Greece, you know...). What I'm trying to say is this: I installed Money on December 15th with a starting balance of 100 Euros. On -let's say- the 2nd of April I have an ending balance of 620 Euros with a CUSTOM time period from 15th of December to that date. But then, if I try to CHANGE my custom time period of viewed cash flow and have it starting e.g. from 15th of JANUARY, instead of December, my ending balance changes to 681 Euros for the very same day (2nd of April)!! Doesn't Money take my starting balance (the one I filled in myself when I installed the account) into account, no matter WHICH time period I choose to view? If not -for some reason I don't seem to understand- is there any indirect way of making it show my RIGHT balance for every day, regardless of the starting date I choose to view? Thanks in advance! |

| Sure. If I have $1,000 balance today and will be adding a net of $50 per month, then my balance in three months will be $150 higher than now, in a year, $600 higher than now. This is exactly the effect that the Forecast Cash Flow is trying to show you. Will you have any cash at the end of the month? 90 days? year? | Ok: I mean that every time I change the time period in cash flow, the chart changes [it either shifts up or down]. So, whenever I try to change my 'Time Period' to 'Next 3 months' or 'Year to date', my ending balance changes. Is this correct??... - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Your time period of what? > <elias[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:cd4e01c4393d$5cf69a30$a601280a[at]phx.gbl... > > Why does my ending balance change every time I change my > > time period? |

| Why does my ending balance change every time I change my time period? |
