Default Re: Bi monthly mortgage payments

I did play around with this. I'd schedule the loan payments for the
frequency and amount you want and tell Money that you just want the
difference applied to principal. Then plan on having to hand adjust the
interest and principal amounts in every payment once it's entered in the
register. I see no other way. Tax Estimator will also be confused.

The bank withdraws exactly the same amount of mortgage
payment every other week; there is no variation; the net
effect is that 13 full monthly amounts will be paid
instead of the standard 12 in a calendar month; Money will
allow this to be donein the Planning for Lifetime segment;
and will show the loan paid off earlier which is correct;
but the lifetime planning does not link to the real world
accounting of this type of mortgage; any thoughts; does
money 2004 allow this type of transaction?

Probably not easily, though I'm still thinking this through. If it's really
a monthly payment, the first problem that comes to mind is that every other
week is not half payments. It's 12/26ths payments.

I think you could create the loan and enter your own payments all by hand
with hand calculated interest and principal transfers; I suspect it would be
hard to schedule them that way, though.
