| Another way to look at cash flow is just to schedule what you think is the average transfer amount to the credit card and let Money compute the cash flow forecast accordingly. | At this point in time I'm trying to predict the cash flow - I have some extra expenses coming up on the horizon (ex. child daycare) and I need to make sure my cash flow is okay. Thanks for the tip. | You can create the recurring bill and skip each instance when the time comes instead of entering it. That'll force its amount into the budget but not create the balance reconciliation problems. Or you can let auto budget figure out the Food:Groceries amount from history or just specify the amount. Are you trying to manage the spending (budget) or predict the account balances (cash flow)? | I'm not sure which way to handle this. I have about 8 - 10 transactions each month on my credit card that are food related. The total amount is usually quite similar (for example, $500), and I would like to have this amount reflected on my budget. Is it recommended to add a recurring bill for $500 alotted to my credit card? That would make sense, but obviously the credit card account won't reconcile if I download the transactions. thanks |
