| Thanks Bob I don't use any of the online features anyway; just keep personal & business transactions on it and export the txf file every year for income tax. Thanks again! | Hi Cal I recently went to 03 business version of Money; are you saying it is going to quit working & require me to upgrade? It wouldn't take a lot of work to bring my old Money 2k files up to date at this point in time; if 2003 version is going to quit I need to go back to 2k version (US business & personal or whatever they called it that year) now! Thanks Lew "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:26a5a05ggtlvtcd8je0hb7o0db2u0rhrdk[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Bob Johnson wrote: > > i am a longtime user of money when i lived in the us, 1999,2000 and 2002 > > when i moved to canada i got a copy of quicken (which i regret and have > > never liked compared to money) > > now it is apparently "expiring" after july, i won't even be able to import > > QIF files > > i consider this to be extortion to disable a simple import feature > > they want $59.95 for a year which they will have to pry out of my cold dead > > hands > > so i re-installed money 2000 and it's works fine > > > two questions: > > do any of the newer (2003-2004) money versions "lock up" after a year and > > disallow importing ala quicken > Yes. Yes. Money 2003 and 2004. Actually I don't know if it is the same as> when i moved to canada i got a copy of quicken (which i regret and have > never liked compared to money) > now it is apparently "expiring" after july, i won't even be able to import > QIF files > i consider this to be extortion to disable a simple import feature > they want $59.95 for a year which they will have to pry out of my cold dead > hands > so i re-installed money 2000 and it's works fine > two questions: > do any of the newer (2003-2004) money versions "lock up" after a year and > disallow importing ala quicken Quicken, but it sounds similar. Three years for Deluxe, which is US only. I am not sure if Canadian version is one or two years. Put on the magnifiers and read the small print on the box. - quote - > i have accounts in the us and canada...the us version will allow me to > download only from my canadian bank which is ok...does the canadian version > add anything other than improved downloading from canadian banks? |
