| Autobudget only calculates based on past spending what you might want to add to the budget. Unless you add the values to the budget, then it does nothing. Don't bother clicking it if you don't want any of the values. So what you are seeing is what is expected of it - going back into it, it recalculates the spending again and selects those with sufficient spending to be *potential* items to add to the budget. You can disable it - by not clicking on the option. If you don't click on it, it does nothing. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | My problem is that I DO NOT want to use autobudget but I cannot turn it off. When I clear all the check marks and click OK and go back in the check marks are still on. Does anyone know how to disable autobudget or permanantly deselect all the categories? | Autobudget will calculate potential budget entries based on past spending, but it does not remove any already existing budget lines. You'll need to manually remove those from your budget, and not add them when using autobudget. If they are not checked in autobudget, they shouldn't get overridden. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money Check http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny for UK tips and fixes for MS Money. | I have set up a budget. Most categories are Custom and a few are Monthly. Something is overriding the amounts that I have entered. I thought it was autobudget that was the culprit. I clicked autobudget, selected Clear All, and OK. When I go back to autobudget, all the categories that were previously checked are checked again. Help, if autobudget is overriding the amounts that I entered, how do I turn it off? When I look at the budget amounts they are correct but when I print monthly budget report some of the amounts are not the same. I would like to enter each monthly amount and not have Money do anything automatically. Help!!! |
