Default Re: How to add cash account to portfolio?

There are two approaches that depend on what the real situation is.

1) The cash is really a Money Market fund investment. Setup an investment
for it just like any other; call it a Money Market mutual fund. This sounds
maybe a little more like what you have when you refer to it as a savings
account.

2) The cash is really just the cash portion of a brokerage account. Go to
the account details for the Investment Account, click Account name Rename,
and select the Allow cash transactions check box. This will lead you to
setting up the cash portion of the investment account. This is probably the
more typical case: in a typical brokerage account, all transactions "go
through" the cash account.

Default How to add cash account to portfolio?

I'm using Money Small Business 2003. I have an ING savings account.
Is there a way to add this to my portfolio as a "cash" allocation?

What exactly is the "cash" asset allocation part of a portfolio? I
only have a Vanguard IRA which doesn't allow cash to sit in the
account.

Thanks,
Brett
