| It said a "copy of the receipt". Good, because you need the Original Receipt to get the $10 from Money Magazine in lieu of a subscription. :-) -- Joe Norton "Bart Garcia" <Idont[at]thinkso.com> wrote in message news:zGvVa.124153$Io.10604339[at]newsread2.prod.itd.earthlink.net... - quote - > Unless I did and read the $20.00 rebate wrong, the $20 rebate only requires > a copy of the receipt. > Bart > "Jamie" <Jlawson01[at]OMITTHIS.lear.com> wrote in message > news:OaKpVlcVDHA.1816[at]TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... > > I made this purchase Sunday through CompUSA online and still waiting the > > arrival of the new software. | Unless I did and read the $20.00 rebate wrong, the $20 rebate only requires a copy of the receipt. | I made this purchase Sunday through CompUSA online and still waiting the arrival of the new software. One question on this piece. Reason I'm interested is that I don't want these magazines. I take it that the $20 refund from Microsoft for purchasing Money 2004 also needs the "original" receipt. Should I just try to use a copy on the magazine subscription refund? This will put my cost of money down to a total of $17 (shipping charges, taxes). Plus I'm going to save 72 for a year in BillPay charges. Microsoft would almost be better giving this software away and keeping all the rebates and offers. I can't believe how cheap this is. | On the box, you can see you get a free one year subscription to Money magazine. When you open the box, you get a return paid postcard to send in to redeem the subscription. The card says you can choose 13 issues of Money, 13 issues of Fortune, or 12 issues of Business 2.0. In the small print of the postcard, you are told "If you do not wish to receive the magazine subscription, you can obtain a $10 refund by completing this card (originals only-no copies) and sending it , along with the original Microsoft Money sales receipt and orignal cover from the enclosed booklet, within 30 days of purchase ..." | Also included is a postcard that offers a free 1 year subscription to Money, Fortune or Business magazine. If you do not wish to receive a subscription, you can send in the original Money sales receipt, title page of the Money booklet and subscription postcard to receive a $10 refund. Thus, your final price for Money 2004 deluxe is ~$10.00. All the best to everyone...
