Default Re: Registry Full ?

The following articles list the structural limitations:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...kb;EN-US;76345 (versions
prior to M98--lists a 32,768 transaction per file limit. I'd be over this by
now.)
http://support.microsoft.com/default...21&Product=mny
(M98 and subsequent)

If they are using M98 or newer, I suspect something else is going on as the
limits are huge. (And this is what I'd suspect to actually be the case--but
much more data would be required to offer further help.)

If they are using a version prior to M98, this could be the problem and the
only solution (and it's a good one for other reasons as well) is to upgrade
the version to M04 and let M04 upgrade the data file. The only alternate
left is to start throwing data out of the file with things like
Archiving--which many of us do not practice nor recommend.

This sounds like an early version of Money which did have significant
limitations. ISTR that it was around M2002 that the database changed and
Money became virtually limit free. What version are you talking about here?

Default Registry Full ?

I have a friend that asked me a question about Microsoft Money of which I
don't use therefore know nothing about it so I thought I would ask the
question here, I'm sure someone here can answer her question. Her folks have
Microsoft money program and it is full to where she cannot add anymore
checks to the register. Did they do something to cause this? What can they
do to fix the problem? Any suggestion that will help they will be
appreciate.

Thanks

Dale
