Default Re: Transfering Money Files to a ne computer

If you have to use floppies to move I am sure that all the data will not fit
on one floppy. When I moved from Money 2000 to Money 2004 I used
7 floppies since I did not have a CD drive. If you have this problem there
is a program called "filesplit" which will spilt the files & then when you
copy them to your new computer it will put them together. I did this
& it works.

The way I would handle this is I would open the new Money 2004 file on the new
computer. I would then take the latest backup floppy data file from your old
computer and open it on your new computer. If you don't have floppy files for
both your old and new computers you will need to use your CD and burn a copy. I
can't help you there. Good luck. Steve.

Normally you do don't want to do QIF export. Instead you want to
copy your .mny file or your recent .mbf file to the new computer's
hard drive. If you use a CD to transfer, make that file readable.
Then File-> Open the file from Money 2004.

Default Transfering Money Files to a ne computer

I need to transfer my Money 2002 account info to a new
computer running Money 2004. The problem I have
encountered is that Money 2002 will only let you export
one account at a time, so you can only import one at a
time into the new Money. When you finish loading them
all, the transactions that reference other accounts you
track are entered multiple times. How can this be
prevented?

Thanks!

Catherine
